2026 Season Opening

May 7, 2026: Summer starts sooner and lasts longer at Lassen's! Please join us for our 2026 season opening at 6:00 pm on May 7th.  Cash bar with wine and beer available. Admission is free but RSVP is required. Our program includes the presentation of the 2026 Beatrice Horner Cultural Award and the ribbon cutting of several new exhibit experiences funded by:

• $50,000 Heritage Support Project Grant from Indiana Historical Society made possible by Lilly Endowment, Inc.
• $15,860 Legacy Foundation Transforming Lake County Grant
• $3,000 Historic Preservation Education Grant funded by Indiana Humanities & Indiana Landmarks
• $2,500 Indiana Landmarks Indiana Automotive Board Grant
• $2,300 Heritage Support Mini-Grant from Indiana Historical Society made possible by Lilly Endowment, Inc.
• $600 Lake County Master Gardeners grant
