Big Dewey: Dinner & Cruise (July 31st)
Description
The Cedar Lake Historical Association presents a taste of Cedar Lake nostalgia in The Dining Room at Lassen's Resort followed by a 45-minute Lassen's Dewey Line cruise experience on magnificent Cedar Lake aboard Big Dewey. Check-in at The Museum at Lassen's Resort front desk. Dinner is served at 5:30 pm, cruise begins at 6:30 pm. Dessert is served during the cruise. Return to the dock in time to view the sunset from the museum porch rocking chairs.
Enjoy dishes inspired by traditional resort menu items and local history. Iced tea or water is provided with the meal.
- Potawatomi-themed tilapia baked with a fresh citrusy gremolata on a bed of wild rice, quinoa, vegetables, and herbs with a hint of harissa spice, topped with an edible floral garnish
- Bourbon maple-glazed "mastodon lollipops" (chicken) coated in a crunchy, seasoned crust on a bed of fresh wild herbs
- Tobes-inspired steak tartare on a flaky, delicate potato pave', garnished with a parmesan coral tuile
- Lassen's Icebreaker, a decadent chocolate truffle filling with fresh blackberries and raspberries encased in a white chocolate-coated Norwegian rosette shell. This dessert, crafted specially for Lassen's Dewey Line, is dusted in powdered sugar, iridescent edible glitter, and topped with a white chocolate anchor.
$80 per person; 14 person capacity.
Optional: After dinner, BYOB is permitted aboard the vessel - white wine, champagne, soda, or beer only - no red liquids, please - limited to 2 servings per person. Please bring chilled beverages in plastic containers or cans. Beverages will be kept chilled while you dine and a small cooler will be provided to take beverages on board. > Read alcohol policy
