Bmejwen Kyle Malott is a speaker and teacher of Bodwéwadmimwen (Potawatomi Language). He is an enrolled citizen of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians to which he is a direct descendant of Chief Leopold Pokagon and is of the Eagle Clan. Bmejwen was taught by fluent speakers of the Forest County Potawatomi, and has spent over 15 years working in and studying Potawatomi Language and History.

During the presentation, Kyle will discuss the history & evolution of Bodwéwadmimwen (Potawatomi Language). He will detail Potawatomi history from creation to migration out East, Potawatomi migration back to the Great Lakes, the relationship with Potawatomi relatives the Ojibwe & Odawa - how they were once one people, the language decline thru Indian Removal and boarding schools, and the current language revitalization between Potawatomi Bands.

The program will take place at The Museum at Lassen's Resort on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 6:00 PM.  Registration is required. Admission is free for members or $5 payable online for guests.
